What inspired you to start your business?

I was inspired to build a business that put relationships, strategy, and results at the center of every transaction. In commercial real estate, I saw an opportunity to create a more thoughtful and client-focused approach, one that goes beyond simply getting a deal done. I wanted to build something that reflected my values: hard work, integrity, market expertise, and a genuine commitment to helping clients make smart long-term decisions.

What challenges have you faced as a woman in business?

Starting out in a male-dominated industry, one of the biggest challenges was having to prove myself earlier and more often than some of my male counterparts. There were definitely times when clients or colleagues would naturally look to the men in the room first, and I quickly learned that I had to bring not only strong market knowledge, but also confidence, consistency, and results. Building credibility, a portfolio, and a loyal client base took time, persistence, and a thick skin.

What helped me most was staying focused on performance. I made sure I was always prepared, always responsive, and always adding value. Over time, that built trust and momentum. The experience taught me that credibility is not given, it is earned. And once you establish yourself through expertise, professionalism, and follow-through, people remember that. Today, I see that challenge as something that sharpened me and helped shape the person I am now.

What lesson have you learned that you can share with other women entrepreneurs?

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to trust your instincts and own your expertise. You do not need to wait until you feel completely ready to take your seat at the table. Preparation matters, of course, but confidence matters too. Women often underestimate how much value they bring, and I’ve learned that growth happens when you stop second-guessing yourself and start leading with clarity and conviction.

What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve ever received is: your reputation is your real currency. In commercial real estate, relationships drive everything, and people remember how you show up especially when a deal gets difficult. If you are honest, prepared, responsive, and consistent, that reputation compounds over time and opens doors you cannot force open any other way.

In what ways has your membership in WPO impacted your personal or professional life?

My membership in WPO has been incredibly valuable both professionally and personally. Professionally, it has given me access to an exceptional group of women leaders who are candid, accomplished, and generous with their insight. There is tremendous value in being able to exchange ideas with women who understand the realities of leadership, growth, and decision-making at a high level. Personally, it has been just as meaningful. WPO creates space for real conversations about balancing ambition, responsibility, and personal growth. It is energizing to be surrounded by women who challenge and support one another, and that kind of community has had a lasting impact on how I lead and how I think about success.
