Position Overview
WPO is seeking a relationship-driven Director of Partnerships to help drive organizational growth, expand sponsorship and partnership revenue, and cultivate meaningful external relationships that support WPO’s mission and long-term vision. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in relationship-based business development, enjoys building strategic partnerships, and can balance growth strategy with strong execution and follow-through.

The Director of Partnerships will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to identify opportunities, cultivate sponsors and partners, support membership growth initiatives, and help strengthen WPO’s overall revenue ecosystem. This is not a transactional sales role. Success in this position requires relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, executive presence, creativity, and the ability to develop long-term partnerships aligned with WPO’s values and community.

Chapter Chair

CHARACTERISTICS

Chapter Chairs should possess the following:
• Knowledge and understanding of running a small business
• A personal network of contact or access to women entrepreneurs at the $2 million plus level
• Relationships with outstanding small business leaders and local business experts
• Attention to detail and commitment to follow-through
• Very strong interpersonal skills
• Experience as a Facilitator
• Ability to relate to and be supportive of women at this level
• Bandwidth and ability to communicate in timely manner with both WPO members and WPO HQ
• Enthusiasm for the Chapter Chair/Facilitator role and the WPO as an organization
• Patience
• Assertiveness

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

A specific type of leader succeeds in running WPO chapter effectively. Much more than an administrator, a WPO Chapter Chair needs to be knowledgeable about small business, successful and recognized in her own community, committed to and interested in supporting women and willing to put in the kind of effort needed to make this unique program effective. In essence, the Chapter Chair needs to be viewed as a peer of women CEOs. Each Chapter Chair will be paid by the monthly meeting to manage the program in her city. The position as a part-time consultant requires ongoing responsibilities consisting of two distinct activities: recruiting efforts and monthly meetings.

Chapter Chairs participate in annual training sessions at the annual forum. Chapter Chair must also attend the roundtable training within 3 months of hire. Chapter Chairs are provided with opportunities for personal growth, professional development often with world-class authorities in the field, increased stature in the community and contact with a group of exceptional women. DESCRIPTION

• Form and maintain strong relationships with individual group members and promote group cohesiveness.
• Facilitate and attend all monthly meetings and act as a Facilitator of sessions.
• Coordinate recruiting and marketing process for new members.
• Work with Headquarters to enroll all members.
• Send out follow-up materials and recruit approximately 15-20 WPO members per chapter.
• Maintain communication with WPO chapter members during 12 months of program, including monthly reminders for next session and other pertinent information.
• Answer inquiries and maintain a personal relationship with members.
• Act as a liaison with local hosts and handle all logistics for monthly sessions (location, materials, dinners, etc.).
• Prepare monthly program ‘agenda’ to be distributed to members.
• Maintain awareness of press opportunities on the local level
• Submit a monthly invoice and brief report which includes the date and location of your meeting, a list of the attendees, and the agenda. This report should be attached to your monthly invoice.
• Protect the proprietary nature of the program and materials.
• Respond to WPO national office requests on a timely basis within specified deadline.
• Maintain a high-quality program by adhering to the “best practices” of the Organization.
• Attend the Chapter Chair training sessions and forum on an annual basis, as well as roundtable training within 3 months of hire at WPO.
• Maintain a supportive and positive relationship with Headquarters.
