The Women Presidents Organization Launches New Chapter in Los Angeles

LEADING CEO PEER-ADVISORY ORGANIZATION EXPANDS IN SAN FERNANDO AND CONEJO VALLEYS

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 17, 2022 – The Women Presidents Organization (WPO), a dynamic and diverse collective of women entrepreneurs from around the world, today announced it is launching a new chapter in the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys in the Greater Los Angeles area. A virtual kick-off meeting will be held on Thursday, February 24 at 5:30pm PST online via Zoom. Women business leaders who are interested and meet eligibility requirements can register to attend by emailing Lindsay Shields at lindsayljgroup@gmail.com.

"WPO is just outstanding! It has been the one organization I count on to challenge and support me when it comes to growing my company, New Capital-LLC. It is so wonderful to have a group of women whom I turn to whenever I have a very difficult issue to deal with or when I have a big opportunity I need to plan out,” said Bea Stotzer, CEO of New Capital LLC. “What is shared creates an amazing level of trust and the brilliant ideas that come from such extremely successful and committed women can blow you away!"

The WPO brings women business leaders from diverse, non-competitive industries together in peer learning groups where their perspectives can be understood, challenged, and refined in a confidential setting. Every chapter is professionally facilitated by a trained Chapter Chair. To qualify for WPO membership, candidates must run their company’s day-to-day management as the CEO/President/Partner, have an ownership interest in the business at some level, and their company must be privately-held and reach $2 million (USD) in gross annual sales for a product-based business or $1 million for a service-based business.

Lindsay Shields, Principal of The LJ GROUP, brings 20 years of experience as a Chapter Chair to this new WPO Chapter (LA IV). The LJ GROUP advises nonprofit organizations in management transitions, fund development, contemporary 501(c)(3) partnerships and Positive Intelligence training. Current WPO members moving to this new chapter include Lisa Zonder, Attorney & Mediator, Zonder Family Law Group; Lindsey Carnett, CEO/President, Marketing Maven PR public relations; Sonya Shelton, CEO, Executive Leadership Consulting; and Kelley Lashley, Founder, Deka Law Group, Inc.

“We are fortunate to have Lindsay Shields taking the lead as we expand our presence in the LA area,” said Camille Burns, CEO of the WPO. “Her experience and perspective will be valuable assets for women business leaders in the Greater Los Angeles area looking to tap into collective insight to experience game-changing breakthroughs.”
